Art House Dallas seeks to bring artists and creatives out of isolation and into community. We believe that when people come together in community they and their work excel. Our programming reaches individuals across many genres of the arts including: music, writing, visual art, creative inspiration, and spiritual formation.

Art House Exchange

Art House Exchange is a gathering that exists for the exchange of ideas and creative discussion across mediums. This event is geared toward the creative community at large, not one specific discipline. The Exchange provides attendees opportunities for collaboration, inspiration, encouragement, and discussion between fellow musicians, writers, artists and others who share a passion for creativity and imaginative living. Click here for more information.

Awaken Creativity Groups are monthly gatherings which create consistent community for artists. Limited to no more than 15 people, the goal is to provide an encouraging environment that facilitates feedback, cultivates relationships, and sparks inspiration. Awaken Creativity gathers together artists by discipline and provides time, space, and connection for artists to grow and share their creative journey with like-minded friends. Click here for more information.

Through the Deploy program, Art House Dallas connects local artists with underserved communities enabling them to share their creativity, experience, and passion with communities who have little or no exposure to the arts and artistic expression. This is done by musicians, visual artists, and writers bringing their own work into underserved communities and by teaching workshops. You can find information about our Art Adventure Kits here. If you’d like to volunteer or learn more about our current in-person opportunities with Deploy, click here.

I look forward to being inspired by my friends at the next Songwriters Dinner, learning together at the next Origin luncheon, and making new ones at the next Art House Exchange.
— Paul Demer, singer-songwriter

Feedback is a program dedicated to helping artists and creatives grow in their craft. We invite visual artists, writers, songwriters, and performing artists to engage with one another and give feedback in small groups. Each group is led by facilitators who have exhibited longevity in their creative field to explore strengths and growth in an encouraging environment. For more information, click here.

Today’s artist has to master their craft, think like an entrepreneur, and market their work. It sounds like a lot—because it is. But staying true to the vocational call of being an artist does not have to mean going without pay. This workshop, taught by experienced and knowledgeable leaders, is designed to give artists the tools and resources to excel in their work, build a business, and fulfill their calling as a creative. Click here for more information.

For the love of words

For the Love of Words is an evening intended specifically for writers to gather together for the sake of community, discussion and, of course, words. At this gathering, we feature local authors as well as a time to meet other writers. We hope you will come make friends, discuss current writing projects, your favorite books, and discover collaborative opportunities!

Our Origin series seeks to establish a wholeness and connectedness between spiritual formation, imagination, and the arts with the ultimate intent to establish a sacred perspective on how we individually and collectively live and create. We believe that beauty shown through the arts, culture, and creation holds a powerful ability to form the way we see ourselves, the world, and our interaction with both. You can find more information here.

This annual event sets the stage for artists to share their work and tell their stories while elements of their story, like their art or photos of their process, is projected behind them. The audience has the opportunity to hear each compelling narrative for 5 minutes each in a Ted Talk-style presentation format. The featured visual artists from all backgrounds and mediums share current projects, passions, and creative vision and give attendees opportunities for inspiration, encouragement, and discussion in a unique setting.

Visual Showcase

Process and Practice

At Process & Practice, a gathering for visual artists of all mediums, we come together for the sake of community, discussion, and growth. Every visual artist has their own way of seeing the world, and hearing from others about their projects, process, and vision both inspires and challenges. This gathering provides attendees opportunities for inspiration, encouragement, and discussion.
